Job Description

Industry renowned experts in the transmission and distribution (T&D) industry, with a proud track record of successful project delivery going back several decades, requires an HV Commissioning Engineer to work on projects up to 400kV. With schemes across the UK, the role calls for someone who is flexible to stay away from home during the week.

Responsibilities:

• Working on HV substation projects across the UK
• Commissioning of HV switchgear and transformers
• Commissioning of control and protection
• Primary and secondary injection testing
• Current voltage / current power tests
• Complete commissioning reports
• Specification of new testing and commissioning equipment
• Review commissioning plans prior to the commencement of works
• Attend project meetings
• Liaising with Project Managers and other colleagues

Requirements:

• Qualification in Electrical Engineering
• Experience as a Commissioning Engineer in the high voltage industry (132kV, 400kV)
• Driving licence
