Job Description

The Huntington Ventures Associate reports to the Hunt Ventures Director and plays a central role growing and scaling new businesses opportunities. The role will engage with the business's units, ventures team and the functions to support the entire business development process from opportunity identification, business plan development to the handover to the new business manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with Huntington Ventures Development directors and managers in the identification, evaluation and execution of corporate venture initiatives.
  • Develops materials to be used with senior leadership, internal stakeholders and external partners on various components of venture lead business plans.
  • Provides research and assistance in the evaluation and analysis of external partners, programs, technologies, innovation, emerging trends and business models for strategic fit with business segment and enterprise priorities. This includes exaction and validation of internal and external data supporting the creation and development of meaningful insights and supports decision-making.
  • Provide support in the creation of financial business cases, including market definition and sizing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 or more years' experience in FinTech or Venture space

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and excellent written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (advanced skills in Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint)
  • Excel proficiency with experience in modeling
  • Concise writing skills
  • Startup or Venture experience
  • Fintech and/or bank experience
  • Corporate innovation experience
  • Exceptional time management skills with proven aptitude in prioritization

Compensation Range:

$81000-$160000 Annual Salary

The compensation range represents the anticipatedlow and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and education.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
