Examples of duties

This role focuses on conducting inspections and investigations that ensure personal care homes and assisted living residences follow state laws and regulations. Your work supports the health, safety, and well-being of residents throughout Pennsylvania. As a Human Services Licensing Representative, you will perform the following duties:

• Inspection Activities: Conduct independent inspections of personal care homes and assisted living residences to assess compliance with state laws and regulations
• Complaint Investigations: Investigate complaints and incidents by gathering facts and determining regulatory compliance
• Information Review: Examine medical, legal, and program documents to evaluate adherence to licensing requirements
• Technical Guidance: Provide advice to facility operators regarding compliance with statutes, policies, and procedures
• Relocation Support: Assist in the safe relocation of residents from noncompliant homes by coordinating needs, belongings, and transportation
• Enforcement Recommendations: Recommend licensing and enforcement actions based on inspection findings and professional judgment

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Home Headquartered: This position is home headquartered. In order to be home headquartered, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
• Travel is required.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Two years of professional experience gathering and analyzing information in a social service or law enforcement program, and a bachelor’s degree; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

• You must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Southwest Region which includes Allegheny, Fayette, Greene and Washington counties.

• You must be able to perform essential job functions.
