At DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, we are looking for a Human Resources Trainee to join our talented Human Resources team.

Our hotel offers the award-winning rooftop bar LuminAir, the vibrant new WE ARE EDN restaurant and bar, Amsterdam’s most extensive breakfast buffet, and an in-house LOT61 coffee store. Our recently refurbished 557 guest rooms and 15 versatile meeting rooms, make our hotel a dynamic and exciting place to work.

What will you be doing?

• Pre- & Onboarding: You play an important role in the entire pre- and onboarding process. Prior to their first day of work, you will ensure that new Team Members start well informed and prepared. Think of taking care of welcome to the team emails, preparing login details and providing all necessary information. On the first working day, you welcome new colleagues and guide them through their introduction within our big team. Because of your enthusiasm, new Team Members feel welcome and well supported from the very first moment.
• Give trainings & tours: You will help organize welcome to Hilton trainings for new Team Members and make sure they are well prepared to get started. In addition, you will give tours on hotel school visits and be the point of contact for new employees during their first weeks.
• Staff Parties: Do you like to celebrate successes? You will have the opportunity to help organize our staff parties, which take place quarterly.
• Administration: Of course, the administrative part is also part of HR: you will learn to work with personnel files, leave requests, contracts, our payroll system HR2day, Tamigo our roster system and other essential HR tasks.
• Internal Communication & Actimo: An important aspect of your internship is strengthening internal communication. You will get to work with Actimo, a modern communication and engagement tool we use to reach, inform and inspire employees. Through Actimo, you will keep everyone up-to-date on the latest news, celebrations and events. You will learn how to effectively create and distribute content to foster engagement and collaboration within our team.

With your communication skills and proactive attitude, you can really make a difference in our team!
