of Work
This position provides technical and administrative support for the Department of State Treasurer's Human Resources Division in the areas of talent acquisition, benefits, classification and compensation administration, employee relations, onboarding, position management, and human resources information systems. The position assists Human Resources Consultants and Talent Acquisition staff by coordinating recruitment activities, preparing position and salary documentation, maintaining personnel and organizational records, processing personnel transactions, and supporting employee relations activities.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences
The position serves as a central resource for maintaining HR data integrity, ensuring compliance with state personnel policies and procedures, and supporting workforce management initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting with job postings, applicant tracking, onboarding coordination, position description maintenance, benefits, classification and compensation documentation, personnel records management, HR reporting, and processing actions within SAP/Fiori, and other HR systems.
The position contributes to the effective delivery of human resources services by providing responsive customer service to employees, applicants, and managers while supporting the Department's strategic workforce goals and ensuring compliance with Office of State Human Resources policies, merit-based hiring principles, and agency procedures.
Management Preferences:
Salary Range - $37,377 - $65,408

The minimum Education and Experience is an associate’s degree, typically in Human Resources or relevant field from an appropriately accredited institution and 1 year of experience required; or 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

This position currently qualifies for a hybrid telework option with routine office and remote workdays. The NC Department of State Treasurer trusts our employees to be self-motivated and successful in hybrid/remote roles. Telework options are subject to change at the discretion of management.
