Job Description

The starting pay range for this position per hour is $27.00 - $29.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $27.00 - $45.90

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.   • Planning HR department daily/weekly workload to support HR business priorities

  • Readingfinancial reporting and interpretingdata

  • UsingMicrosoftOffice Suite computer and workforce management programs

  • Effectively usingscheduling software

  • Leading a team of hourly HumanResourceExperts,includingskills ininterviewing, developing, coaching,evaluatingandretainingtalent

As aHuman Resources Team Leader, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical day willmost likely includethe following responsibilities:

  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.

  • Ensures every team member understands, is trained, and consistentlydelivers onTarget’s guest experience commitmentsand consistent operations.

  • Actively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.

  • Reviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics toidentifyopportunities,takes action to improve, andaligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.

  • Support leaders in creating and prioritizing an environment of inclusivity where teams value diverse voices and approaches, are authentic and respectful, and createequitableexperiences

  • Fostera culture where teams love to work, and guests love to shop; recognizeeffective guestacknowledgement and connectionand reward outstanding performance

  • Support the leadership team intimelycompletion of training execution

  • Leadorientationfor new teammembers)to enable them toprovideaserviceandshopping experience that meets the needs of the guest

  • With guidance fromyour direct leader,executethe store staffing strategy andimplementrecruiting efforts to help store leaders find,hireand onboardcandidateswith the right skills and experiences for their team

  • Leada team of HR Experts who serve the total store team by solving problems, removingroadblocksand engaging each team member in a way that connects them to Target’s purpose

  • Deliver on allHRprocesses andprograms to maximize team member engagement and minimize business disruption

  • Buildrelationshipsthat are important to thelocalcommunityandengagethe storeteamonthese initiatives

  • With guidancefromyour direct leader,establishclear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations

  • Understand financialobjectivesto maximize profitability and plan work to achieve area-specific and store goals

  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance; lead and hold the team accountable to work in the same way

  • Lead anddemonstratea safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors,identifyingand correcting hazards, holding team accountable to following safety expectations,assistingwith incident response, and reporting/investigating injuriestimelyand accurately.

  • Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences.

  • Lead anddemonstratea culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding,learningand career growth; help close skill gaps through development,coachingand team interactions

  • Model the execution of physical security processesin order toenhance the instore security culture.

  • Support merchandise protection strategies across thetotalstore;including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices

  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs

  • If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.

  • Addressall store emergency and compliance needsincluding claims management and return-to-work program.

  • All other dutiesbasedon business needs

The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be aHuman Resources Team LeaderBut,there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older

  • Previousexperience using automated scheduling, time keeping and workforce management applications preferred, but notrequired

  • Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis

  • Lead and hold others accountable

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheldscanners, andother technology equipment as directed.

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

  • Welcoming and helpful attitudetowards all guests and other team members

  • Effective communication skills

  • Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues

  • Interpret instructions,reportsand information

  • Accurately handle cash register operationsas needed.

  • Frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds, withoutadditionalassistancefrom others

  • Climb up and down ladders as needed.

  • Flexiblework schedule (e.g., nights,weekends,overnightsand holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
