Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

- Oversee the daily workflow and assignments of subordinate HR staff, providing coaching, direction, and performance evaluations.
- Serve as the primary contact for employee concerns and grievances; facilitate conflict resolution and maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Conduct and document thorough workplace investigations. Partner with managers to issue disciplinary actions and ensure they align with company policy and labor laws.
- Manage benefits programs and serve as the liaison with providers. Handle claims resolutions, enrollment processes, and COBRA administration.
- Manage essential functions including recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and offboarding. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies and procedures to ensure the organization remains compliant with ever-changing regulations.
- Maintains strict confidentiality in all employee related matters and information.
- Contributes to a healthy, positive and safe work environment.
- Assists HR Manager as required.
- Maintains an acceptable attendance record.
- Promotes the maintenance of a clean and safe work area.
- Conducts department meetings and ensures documentation is recorded and maintained.
- Leads and/or assists Task Forces, Employee Activity groups, and Safety 8D Teams as required.
- Completes documentation of activities as required. Requisitions necessary supplies.
- Implements lateral moves, postings, layoffs and recalls in department as needed.
- Writes department procedures.
- Submits cost reduction and Innovation ideas encourages direct reports to do the same.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
- One year continuous work experience. Seven years of employee relations experience in a manufacturing setting (required).
- Strongly prefer experience in a non-union, team-based environment.
- Must have good problem solving skills.
- Must have good computer skills.
- Must work well with others. Must have excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Must have the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must have the ability to travel when required
- Must have the ability to make group presentations.
- B.S. degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- In special circumstances, candidates who have not met the required education, but have substantial manufacturing work experience that is applicable to the job may be considered.
