What We Offer
Under the direction of the Senior Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Summer Student will support day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment and onboarding activities. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment, providing exposure to core HR functions and opportunities to contribute to key projects while building practical skills for a career in Human Resources.
This is a term position from May 1, 2026, and ending August 31, 2026
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities for this position:
· Provide administrative support for day-to-day HR operations, including document preparation, filing, and email correspondence
· Assist with recruitment activities, including job postings, screening coordination, and candidate communication
· Support onboarding activities by preparing orientation packages and assisting with new hire orientations
· Maintain accurate and organized employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policies
· Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications & Experience Required:
· Previous administrative, office, or customer service experience is considered an asset
· Exposure to HR processes (recruitment, onboarding, or employee records) is an asset
· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
· Experience working in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment
Education, Certification, Licenses & Registrations:
· Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related post-secondary program
Skills
· Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
· Effective written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment
· Proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Physical Demands:
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
· Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling documents and operating office equipment
· Ability to lift and carry office supplies, files or small packages up to approximately 20 lbs (9kg)
· Occasional standing, walking, bending or reaching
· Visual acuity required for reading printed materials and viewing a computer screen
· Ability to communicate clearly in person, over the phone and in writing
