Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Human Resources Specialist based in Brazil.

As a Human Resources Specialist, you will serve as a trusted HR partner supporting employees and clients across Brazil and the wider LATAM region. You will bring deep expertise in Brazilian employment practices, labor regulations, benefits, payroll, and employee lifecycle management. The role combines hands-on HR operations with advisory responsibilities and regional compliance initiatives. You will work closely with clients, employees, vendors, legal and HR partners, and cross-functional teams across a remote, international environment. You will also contribute to process optimization and the adoption of AI and digital tools to improve HR efficiency. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced global organization while helping shape scalable people operations across multiple markets.

Accountabilities:

    • Serve as a regional HR subject matter expert for Brazil, supporting employee lifecycle activities and providing guidance across other LATAM markets as needed.
    • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on Brazilian HR practices, benefits, payroll considerations, employment regulations, and local market requirements.
    • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee changes, transitions, offboarding, and complex or sensitive employment matters.
    • Handle employee relations issues and involuntary terminations in accordance with Brazilian labor legislation while helping minimize legal and operational risk.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with local payroll providers, benefits brokers, accountants, HR advisors, legal partners, and other external vendors.
    • Maintain accurate employee and client information across internal systems and vendor platforms, following data privacy and management best practices.
    • Develop and continuously update country-specific knowledge bases, standard operating procedures, and compliance documentation.
    • Lead or contribute to local and global compliance projects, working with cross-functional teams to improve processes, products, and service delivery.
    • Identify opportunities to automate routine HR activities and leverage AI and digital tools to streamline workflows and increase operational efficiency.
    • Resolve complex HR and customer challenges independently, using analytical thinking, sound judgment, and a strong understanding of local regulations.
    • Support regional initiatives and continuously improve HR operations to provide a consistent, compliant, and high-quality employee and client experience.
    • Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, International Business, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
      • At least 5 years of professional HR experience, ideally in an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or comparable role.
      • Deep practical knowledge of Brazilian labor laws, employment regulations, HR practices, and local market requirements.
      • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, and native or fluent Portuguese; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
      • Experience working with global clients, international colleagues, and culturally diverse stakeholders.
      • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, matrixed, and remote environment.
      • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, with high emotional intelligence.
      • Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive employee matters and navigate complex HR situations with discretion and sound judgment.
      • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing employee data, compliance requirements, and operational processes.
      • A proactive, resourceful, and adaptable mindset, with the ability to investigate unfamiliar issues and develop practical solutions.
      • Comfort with modern HR technology, HRIS platforms, ticketing systems, collaboration tools, and AI-powered productivity solutions.
      • Regional HR exposure across other LATAM markets such as Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile, or Argentina is a plus.
      • A continuous-learning mindset and willingness to embrace new technologies, processes, and opportunities for broader international exposure.
      • Benefits

        • Annual gross base salary of BRL 100,000–139,000, plus variable compensation.
        • Eligibility for an annual bonus based on factors including individual and organizational performance.
        • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
        • Generous paid parental leave.
        • Flexible time-off arrangements.
        • Spending accounts and additional employee support programs.
        • Sabbatical eligibility after 5 years.
        • Remote-first and flexible working environment.
        • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
        • Inclusive, international workplace with opportunities to collaborate across regions.
        • Opportunities for future internal international mobility and career growth.
        • Access to modern HR, collaboration, and AI-powered tools designed to support productivity and flexible ways of working.
