The Fund is seeking to strengthen its workforce diversity and regional representation by increasing the number of Saudi nationals and other MENA nationals employed across the organization and at all grade levels. To achieve this, the Fund requires support to design and implement a robust strategy that integrates with existing talent attraction programs and initiatives to build a sustainable pipeline of Saudi and MENA talent that aligns with business needs and deliver measurable hiring outcomes.
Scope of Work
This will be a contractual appointment with the incumbent working closely with Talent Attraction program managers, Section Chiefs, and other HRD stakeholders to address the following:
Strategy Development
Assess current recruitment practices and identify gaps in attracting Saudi candidates.
Identify potential viable candidate pools, analyze past Fund hiring outcomes, and benchmark practices against other relevant organizations.
Collaborate with departmental HR representatives to identify opportunities for Saudi candidates.
Design a practical, actionable strategy for short-term hires and long-term talent pipeline development that can be replicated going forward.
Outreach and Networking
Engage with Saudi government authorities, regulatory bodies, and professional associations.
Build on existing networks to establish and strengthen relationships with universities, career centers, and alumni networks in Saudi Arabia.
Connect with other relevant institutions and diaspora networks to broaden the Fund’s reach for potential future Saudi candidates.
Explore opportunities for increasing candidate outreach and pipelines for other MENA nationals.
Implementation Support
Develop and implement search campaigns and events to targeting Saudi talent in conjunction with the broader program management, outreach activities and events.
Advise on partnerships with recruitment agencies and platforms specializing in the region.
Provide guidance on engagement and communication strategies including supporting materials and social media.
Key Deliverables
Comprehensive Strategy Document A long-term plan outlining objectives, timelines, mechanisms, and KPIs for sourcing, attracting, and retaining Saudi talent.
Stakeholder Engagement Plan Building a list of key contacts, and opening new relationships with authorities, academic institutions, and professional bodies.
Pipeline Development Framework Mechanisms for continuous sourcing and nurturing of a pipeline of Saudi candidates over the longer period.
Progress Report Regular updates on outreach activities and hiring outcomes.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience in recruitment within Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East region.
Strong, well-established networks with Saudi authorities, universities, and professional bodies.
Demonstrated success in talent acquisition and outreach strategies, including diaspora engagement.
Expertise in executive search and candidate sourcing for specialized roles.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
This is a one-year contractual appointment. Contractual appointments at the IMF are renewable for up to four years of cumulative contractual service, pending incumbent's performance, budget availability, and continuous business need.

The IMF makes financing temporarily available to member countries to help them address balance of payments problems—that is, when they find themselves short of foreign exchange to meet their payments to other countries.
Finally, the IMF provides countries with training to help them build the expertise and institutions they need for economic stability and growth. Supporting all of these activities is the institution's work in economic research and statistics.
