PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide an Employee Relations service to all stakeholders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric/Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
- A 3 years National Diploma/bachelor's degree, at NQF level 7 (old NQF level 6), in Human Resources, Labour Relations or related field is essential
- Computer Literacy (MS Office Package and SAP HR) is essential
- Knowledge of company policies, Labour legislation and ER practices is essential
- 2 Years working experience within the HR, of which 1 year must have been in Employee Relations (ER) is essential
- Previous exposure in incapacitation processes would be considered an advantage
- Must have good communication, counselling and problem-solving skills
- Valid Medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate.
COMPETENCIES:
- Knowledge of current Labour legislation and processes is essential.
- Communication skills (verbal & written) are essential
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:
The successful candidate is responsible for:
- Facilitating disciplinary hearings
- Advising line management on dealing with issues and requirements as specified in the LRA
- Representing the company at disciplinary and other agreed upon hearings
- Act as an interpreter during disciplinary hearings
- Give feedback on disciplinary hearing to management
- Take minutes at meetings and Disciplinary hearing
- Conducting general HR administration
- Recording and take grievances and complaints up with management
- Interpreting and managing conflict within the workplace
