About the
organisation

Relationships
Australia Northern Territory (RA-NT) is a community-based, not-for-profit,
non-government organisation providing a broad range of services for all members
of the community regardless of religion, belief, age, gender, sexual
orientation, lifestyle choice, cultural background, or economic circumstances.

We empower
individuals, families, and communities to grow through a rich culture of
belonging, connection, and respectful relationships.

About the
role

This is an
exciting opportunity for an experienced and approachable HR professional to
step into a true generalist role within a forward-thinking and values-driven
organisation where people are genuinely at the heart of what we do.

This is a standalone
position, offering autonomy and variety, while being well supported by
leadership and the broader management team. You will be hands-on across the
full employee lifecycle, providing practical, and people-centred HR support
across the organisation.

No two days
will be the same and you will play a key role in ensuring our people practices
are compliant, contemporary and aligned to operational needs, while fostering a
positive and supportive workplace culture.

Key
responsibilities include:

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and employees
  • Managing employee relations matters including performance management, grievances and disciplinary processes.
  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment and onboarding.
  • Assisting with workforce planning and development initiatives.
  • Maintaining and reviewing HR policies and procedures.
  • Supporting Work Health and Safety and workers compensation processes.
  • Contributing to people-related risk management and compliance activities.
  • Assisting with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting change initiatives and organisational development activities.

This role suits
someone who enjoys being embedded in the business, building strong working
relationships, and providing solutions that balance both people and operational
needs.

About you

You are a
well-rounded HR professional with sound knowledge of HR practices and
legislation who enjoys being a trusted go-to person within an organisation. You
are approachable, and confident navigating a broad range of generalist matters.

You are
organised, solutions-focused and comfortable working independently in a
standalone role. Most importantly, you are a strong relationship builder who
communicates with clarity, professionalism and empathy.

To be
successful, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role.
  • Sound working knowledge of HR processes and relevant industrial frameworks, including the Fair Work Act.
  • Experience managing employee relations matters through to resolution.
  • Ability to identify and manage people-related risk.
  • Experience across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Experience coordinating recruitment and onboarding processes.
  • Working knowledge of WHS obligations and workers compensation processes.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach.

Why join us?

  • True generalist scope with variety and autonomy
  • Supportive and collaborative leadership team
  • Opportunity to make a genuine impact
  • Values-driven organisation where people matter
  • A role where your contribution will be recognised and valued
