This position is for our Jasper Rubber Products location in Jasper, IN.
Purpose of Position
The HR Manager is responsible for leading and executing the human resources strategy for this facility which is re-launching, a multi-plant manufacturing organization. This role partners with leadership to support workforce planning, talent development, employee relations, compliance, and organizational culture. The HR Manager provides both strategic direction and hands-on HR leadership while ensuring alignment with Press-Seal’s values and operational needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership & Culture:
· Partner with executive and plant leadership to develop and execute HR and talent strategies aligned with business objectives
· Drive a consistent, high-performance, high-accountability culture across all locations
· Advise leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning
· Stay current on HR trends, employment law, and best practices
Talent Acquisition, Development & Performance Management:
· Lead full-cycle recruitment for managerial, exempt, and professional roles
· Partner with leaders to define role requirements and assess talent needs
· Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to support engagement and retention
· Design and implement learning and development initiatives for employees at all levels
· Coach leaders on performance management, feedback, and employee development
Employee Relations & Leadership Support:
· Serve as a trusted advisor on complex and sensitive employee relations matters
· Manage employee discipline, investigations, accommodations, and terminations in accordance with policy and law
· Support and guide leaders through performance issues and corrective action
· Manage unemployment claims and respond to EEOC and NLRB matters
· Oversee employee recognition and engagement initiatives
Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations:
· Analyze compensation and benefits data; recommend competitive pay and incentive programs
· Administer benefit plans and ensure compliance with applicable laws, including FMLA
· Track, analyze, and report key HR metrics such as turnover, headcount, and compliance
· Manage HR budgets, HRIS data integrity, and employee transactions
· Support labor relations strategy as applicable
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management:
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
· Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook
· Ensure OSHA compliance, participate in safety initiatives, and manage Workers’ Compensation claims
· Support audits, investigations, and compliance reporting
Department Leadership & General Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily HR department workflow and priorities
· Provide HR support to all departments as needed
· Maintain consistent on-site presence to support manufacturing operations
· Perform other duties as assigned

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/talent management systems
· Ability to support multiple locations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred:
· Bilingual in Spanish
· Experience with HRIS implementation or administration
· Experience with a start-up or launching a facility is highly preferred
Education and Experience
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
· Minimum of five (5) years of progressive human resources management experience
Preferred:
· Manufacturing experience
· Labor relations experience

This position operates primarily in a manufacturing environment and requires a consistent on-site presence. The role may involve exposure to heat, cold, fumes, uneven surfaces, and outdoor conditions.
