Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead HR operations, employee relations, safety programs, and administrative functions across our organization. This role partners closely with leadership and serves as a trusted resource to employees, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a positive workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Leadership
- Advise managers and leadership on employee relations, performance management, workers’ compensation, and safety.
- Oversee employee counseling, disciplinary actions, PIPs, terminations, and exit interviews.
- Manage FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Comp, and leave processes.
- Conduct or oversee complex investigations (harassment, discrimination, misconduct).
- Represent the company in unemployment hearings and workers’ comp matters.
- Support OSHA compliance, safety training, and incident reporting processes.
- Partner with payroll, benefits brokers, and internal departments to ensure accuracy and support open enrollment.
- Manage Kronos timekeeping issues and oversee required documentation such as EDD and garnishments.
- Lead HR projects and support policy updates.
Administrative & Office Operations
- Process customer COI requests.
- Manage annual licenses, permits, and office supply inventory across locations.
- Maintain SharePoint forms and corporate office recordkeeping.
- Monitor office purchases and participate in Safety Committee meetings.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of HR experience (management experience preferred).
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with safety/risk management and complex ER investigations.
- Strong knowledge of state/federal employment laws, including FMLA and ADA.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office; Kronos experience a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
Pay for this position is $75-$85,000
