Job Description

We are looking for a passionate, people-first HR leader who understands the high-end restaurant industry to join our elegant French Riviera-inspired fine dining venue in Central. As HR Manager, you will serve as a trusted partner and empathetic leader, supporting our diverse team of over 65 employees in this fast-paced, high-energy restaurant.

Your role will involve fostering loyalty, managing crises with composure, and proactively reducing staff turnover in this challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage HR and admin tasks like employee relations, compliance, payroll, and benefits for our site using Factorial HR; prior experience preferred.

  • Offer empathetic and practical solutions to support our multi-national team.

  • Build trusted relationships and foster an inclusive culture.

  • Coach managers, resolve conflicts, and boost engagement.

  • Lead crisis support during peaks, shortages, or incidents.

  • Reduce turnover through feedback, development, recognition, and root-cause analysis.

  • Stay flexible and hands-on, including evenings and weekends, with on-site presence.

Requirements:

  • Over three years of HR experience (preferably in high-end hospitality or restaurants; Factorial or HRIS knowledge considered an advantage)

  • Fluent in Cantonese and English (both written and spoken)

  • Proven success with multi-national teams—cultural sensitivity and deep empathy are essential.

  • Gritty, solution-focused with exceptional problem-solving and crisis management skills.

  • Confident, humble, people-focused team player

  • Calm under pressure, at ease with ambiguity, demonstrating strong leadership.

  • Highly organised multitasker experienced in dynamic, high-volume environments

  • Passionate about long-term team stability in hospitality

La Petite Maison is the home French Riviera-inspired cuisine with locations in London, Dubai, Miami, Abu Dhabi, Hong Kong, Riyadh, Limassol, Doha, Las Vegas and Mykonos.
