Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Co-op Student/Intern to join our HR team for an 8-month or 1-year work term. This internship offers hands-on experience across a variety of HR functions, providing a comprehensive understanding of the role HR plays in supporting organizational success. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, adaptable, and passionate about people and culture.

Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Engagement
• Help organize employee engagement initiatives and events.
• Assist in maintaining employee records and updating HR databases.
• Support reporting and compliance activities.
HR Operations
• Assist with day-to-day HR administration, including employee file management and data entry.
• Support HRIS maintenance by updating employee information and generating reports.
• Help administer employee programs, policies, and HR processes.
• Assist with document preparation, audits, and ensuring accurate HR records.
HR Projects & Reporting
• Contribute to HR projects such as policy reviews and process improvements.
• Prepare reports and presentations using HR data and metrics.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
• Assist with posting job openings, candidate searches and screening resumes.
• Schedule interviews and communicate with candidates.
• Support new hire onboarding activities.
Qualifications:
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary co-op program and eligible to complete a co-op work term as part of your academic requirements.
• Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources.
Compensation: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
