Logan Health is looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team and serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and leaders across the organization.

This is a newly structured position designed for an HR professional who enjoys variety, problem-solving, employee support, and being the person others can count on when they have an HR question.

Experience with FMLA, leaves of absence, and workplace accommodations is strongly preferred, but not required. We're looking for someone with a solid HR foundation who understands the importance of confidentiality, can navigate sensitive employee situations, and knows how to find the right answer—or the right HR partner—when a question is more complex.

While your home base will be the Logan Health Whitefish HR office, your HR partnership will extend far beyond Whitefish. You’ll be a member of the broader Logan Health HR team, working closely with colleagues in Whitefish, Kalispell, across the Hi-Line, and in remote locations to provide consistent, responsive HR support to employees and leaders throughout the system.

What You'll Do

As an HR Generalist, you’ll be a trusted resource for employees, leaders, and HR colleagues across Logan Health. You’ll help answer questions, navigate HR processes, resolve issues, and connect people with the right resources.

You’ll:

• Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to employees and leaders across the Logan Health system.
• Support leaves of absence and workplace accommodations, helping employees understand processes and next steps. Specialized leave administration is supported by a third-party partner.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures, programs, and processes.
• Support a variety of HR activities, including job descriptions, employment and license verifications, background screening, compliance, and employee exit interviews.
• Help employees navigate HR systems, self-service tools, and resources.
• Partner with HR Business Partners and other HR teams to resolve employee questions and provide consistent, responsive support.
• Maintain accurate HR information and assist with audits, reporting, and data tracking.
• Help develop and maintain HR procedures and identify opportunities to improve processes and the employee experience.
• Recognize when issues require additional expertise and appropriately connect employees and leaders with the right HR resource.
• Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and care.

Every day will look a little different. You’ll have the opportunity to use your HR knowledge across a broad range of functions while helping employees and leaders get the support they need.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

One of the following:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; or
• At least two years of Human Resources experience; or
• At least three years of experience in a customer support role within a high-volume work environment.

We’re also looking for someone who:

• Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Demonstrates strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Can handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Works well independently while also being a collaborative member of a team.
• Is comfortable learning and using HR systems, Microsoft Office, and other technology.

Experience That Will Set You Apart

You may be a particularly strong fit if you have experience with:

• FMLA, leaves of absence, or workplace accommodations
• Interpreting and applying HR policies and procedures
• Employee support or employee relations
• HR operations in a healthcare or other complex organization
• Compliance and HR documentation
• HR systems and data management
• Process improvement and finding more efficient ways to support employees

Schedule:

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
