The Human Resources Generalist II will be the key interface with employees at Warfighter Systems. They will also partner with leaders to cultivate an inclusive, high-performance culture. The role delivers and communicates core HR programs—training, engagement, performance, and policy implementation—while advising managers and employees on a broad range of HR matters. With versatility across multiple HR disciplines, the HR Generalist II provides targeted support where needed to meet business demands and reinforces Elbit America as an employer destination!
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Employee Support & Issue Resolution:
◦ Provide walk-up support for benefits (401k, HSA, eligibility, corrections, deduction changes, coverage verification) and general HR questions.
◦ Assist employees, managers, and supervisors by resolving routine issues or directing them to appropriate HR resources.
◦ Support team members across the organization on standard HR practices.
◦ Support employee benefit enrollment and annual re-enrollment.
◦ Provide guidance on benefit options and resolve routine enrollment issues.
Onboarding & New Hire Processing:
◦ Conduct new hire orientation and training sessions.
◦ Monitor background checks and drug screens for new hires.
◦ Enter new hire data into HRIS (Dayforce) and validate accuracy.
◦ Coordinate start details with hiring managers and HRBPs.
◦ Conduct new hire benefits sessions for Union employees.
◦ HRIS / Transactions / Data Integrity.
◦ Assist in administering system changes (comp changes, union progression, terminations).
◦ Assist in conducting routine audits (401k, Dayforce) to ensure data accuracy.
◦ Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Compliance, Process Support & HRBP Support:
◦ Assist with compliance for onboarding, transfers, promotion checklists, and new hire surveys.
◦ Support HRBPs with talent review and Union administrative duties.
◦ Assist with the preparation and distribution of employee communications.
◦ Coordinate employee life event recognition and related support activities.
◦ Other duties as assigned
Knowledge (Education/License/Certification, Prior Experience):
• Bachelor’s degree with 2 + years of related experience, or 6 + years of experience in place of a Bachelor's degree, is required.
• Working knowledge of HR processes, including onboarding, benefits, HRIS transactions, and employment lifecycle activities.
• Understanding of benefits programs (401k, HSA, medical, dental, life, leave programs).
• Knowledge of federal and state HR compliance basics (I 9, EEO, FLSA, hiring requirements).
• Familiarity with HRIS systems such as Dayforce (data entry, audits, workflow, corrections).
• Preferred understanding of union-related processes and collective bargaining agreements (benefits sessions, progression rules).
• Basic understanding of employee data confidentiality, recordkeeping requirements, and audit processes.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is very helpful
Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to be highly flexible with weekly and daily assignments.
• Possess the personality trait of being a team player and customer-focused in all situations.
• Ability to clearly explain HR policies, benefits, and processes to employees and managers, provide guidance, and deliver orientations or benefits sessions effectively.
• Skill in assessing routine HR issues (benefits corrections, eligibility, HRIS discrepancies) and determining when to resolve independently versus escalate based on established guidelines.
• Ability to accurately input, audit, and maintain employee data (e.g., Dayforce), identify discrepancies, and complete system transactions such as compensation changes and terminations.
• Strong skill in managing multi step HR processes (onboarding, background checks, benefit enrollments), keeping tasks on track, and coordinating across HRBPs, managers, and employees.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee information appropriately, maintain compliance with HR requirements, and interact professionally across all levels of the organization.
Travel/Physical Requirements:
• Standard office with computer usage while sitting. Full-time in office position.
• May require standing for periods of time while conducting an event or giving instructions
• May require the lifting and movement of assorted HR-related material (25 lbs.)
• May require time or travel outside of the building.
