TITLE: Human Resources Generalist Certified

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
  2. Ability to read and follow written directions
  3. Ability to type at a skill level of 55 words per minute
  4. Experience in handling confidential information
  5. Basic knowledge and use of computers
  6. Ability to communicate and work effectively with employees, staff and the community

REPORTS TO: Director of Human Resources

JOB GOAL: To assist the Human Resources team in providing services to employees, schools, and the School District.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Be familiar with and follow written policies, procedures and directions related to job responsibilities
  2. Perform responsibilities such as typing, filing, copying and other duties as assigned
  3. Review and screen certified service applicants
  4. Maintain certified applicant tracking system
  5. Post all vacancies
  6. Advertise for certified vacancies
  7. Administer job transfer requests
  8. Process employee certified status changes
  9. Verify certified employees previous teaching experience and sick days
  10. Administer contracts
  11. Verify appropriate certification
  12. Prepare, disseminate new employment and extra duty contracts
  13. Conduct Criminal Records Check
  14. Process Leave of Absence Requests
  15. Coordinate termination process
  16. Maintain certified job descriptions
  17. Determine employee eligibility for status of tenure
  18. Prepare and distribute annual certified contracts
  19. Coordinate and document vocational extended time
  20. Notify principals annually for recommendations on certified employees on limited contract
  21. Notify principals annually for continuing allocation exchanges for certified employees
  22. Notify principals annually for extra duty assignment forms
  23. Notify employees annually regarding salary reductions
  24. Notify employees annually whose certification expire before next school year
  25. Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • Hourly (Grade 10)
  • 7.5 � 8 per day
  • 37.5 � 40 per wk.
  • 246 days
  • 12 months
