THE OPPORTUNITY

The US HR Generalist is a key member of MiQ’s Talent team, delivering high‑impact, day‑to‑day HR support to employees and managers across the US. Reporting to the Senior HR Director in NYC, this role ensures consistent, high‑quality HR operations and guidance across a broad range of core HR functions. We’re looking for a versatile, dynamic HR professional who can both thrive as a collaborative team player and operates effectively with a high degree of independence.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As an HR Generalist, you will apply a solutions-focused mindset to help our teams achieve peak performance. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Drive complex HR initiatives from planning through execution, overseeing timelines, and stakeholder expectations to deliver high‑quality outcomes across projects, including annual open enrollment and onboarding programs.

  • Cultivate strong cross-functional and global HR partnerships to enable knowledge sharing, promote best practices, and support critical people programs such as internal mobility, performance cycles, and compensation reviews.

  • Resolve complex Human Resources matters and serve as a subject matter expert on employee lifecycle transactions, policy interpretation, time and attendance, benefits, and other HR-related inquiries.

  • Support people managers on performance management administration, documentation requirements, and Human Resources processes.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities, analyze recurring issues, and contribute to standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement initiatives across Human Resources.

  • Lead and evolve a broad range of employee relations initiatives by partnering with the Senior HR Director to design, build, and continuously improve internal processes, including MiQ’s Wellness Program framework, investigation protocols, and other key people practices.

  • Maintain compliance with federal, multi-state, and local employment laws and regulations; routinely review and update policies and practices to ensure ongoing compliance.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

  • Enter and manage employee data changes in the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Conduct monthly HR data analysis (i.e.: identifying trends in turnover and attrition to inform decision-making.)

  • Stay informed on HR trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.

  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by the Senior HR Director or CPO.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in Human Resources operations, shared services, employee relations support, or a Human Resources generalist or specialty discipline.

  • Experience independently managing complex Human Resources cases within established policies and procedures.

  • Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and supporting process improvement initiatives.

  • HRIS/Workday experience strongly preferred

  • ADP WFN experience strongly preferred

  • Fluent or advanced proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets, including V-LOOKUPs, is required.

  • Knowledgeable about core topics in the HR space; keeps up to date on new and emerging benefits and trends

  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously

  • Willingness and ability to conduct administrative detail work (i.e., data entry & analysis) with high accuracy

  • Demonstrated critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to coach and guide junior managers through HR processes

  • Able to flex mid-stream as needed to meet shifting business needs and approaches

  • Model professional maturity - welcomes, reflects on, and integrates feedback, always seeks solutions, voices concerns respectfully, holds self-accountable, and encourages others to do the same

Pay Transparency
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary for this position is $80,000-$100,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.
