Working in the designated office five (5) days per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Are you an HR professional who loves working with people and finding ways to create a great employee experience? We're looking for a driven HR Generalist to join our People & Culture team! This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow their HR career while gaining hands-on experience across employee wellness and benefits, employee relations, recruitment, internal communications and other HR programs.
Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, you'll work closely with leaders, employees, and your People & Culture peers to support a wide range of initiatives that help our people thrive. What You’ll Be Doing
No two days are the same in this role. You can expect to:
• Administer group benefits and pension programs while ensuring employees understand and can effectively access available resources.
• Coordinate disability management and employee leave processes, including medical, parental, compassionate care, and other leaves.
• Support employees and leaders throughout the leave lifecycle, including documentation, communication, accommodations, and return-to-work planning.
• Draft, proofread, and distribute employee communications, ensuring information is clear and accurate.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, employment standards, and workplace practices.
• Assist with investigations, progressive discipline processes, and related documentation.
• Support and coordinate employee experience and wellness initiatives.
• Co-chair the Employment Equity Committee and support compliance and reporting requirements.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data while ensuring confidentiality.
• Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of HR policies, programs, and processes.
• Assist with recruitment activities and help create a positive candidate experience.
• Collaborate on People & Culture projects and initiatives that enhance the employee experience.
What You’ll Bring
We're focused on finding someone who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow. You'll be successful in this role if you have:
• Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline with a concentration in Human Resources.
• 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
• Experience administering employee benefits, disability management, accommodations, or leave programs.
• Knowledge of benefit plans, pension administration, and applicable employment legislation.
• Experience supporting wellness, employee engagement, or employee experience initiatives is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
• A high level of discretion and attention to detail when handling confidential information.
• A proactive mindset, strong follow-through, and a willingness to take initiative.
• A genuine passion for supporting employees and creating a positive workplace experience.
• CPHR designation, or progress toward obtaining a CPHR designation, is considered an asset.
