Job Summary
The HR Generalist will work closely with corporate leaders to provide guidance and leadership as needed on highly confidential human resource matters and special projects.
Duties/Responsibilities
Facilitates resolution of employee relations issues and administers progressive discipline and performance improvement plans and monitor progress Consults with team members and managers on team member issues to ensure that all parties are aware of both company polices and labor laws Provides advice, counsel, and interpretation to managers and team members on HR programs, policies, and a wide variety of organizational and team member performance issues Responds to needs of corporate leaders and team members in a timely manner Conducts and documents complex investigations into workplace complaints with interviews of team members and managers Analyzes notes to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action Prepares comprehensive reports and summaries of findings for management Disposition candidates throughout the pre-employment and on-boarding process to ensure a timely and smooth candidate and new hire experience Facilitates New Staff Orientation for corporate staff Processes terminations and identifies best practices of potential team member relations issues, report findings and recommend action Ensures regulatory compliance with all employee-related federal and state regulations Represents the organization in unemployment proceedings Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources preferred or a related field required 3 years of human resources generalist experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience Employee relations experience a must Familiarity with Human Resources practices, as well as strong knowledge of compliance for state and federal regulations are required
HR certification (SHRM-CP) a plus Experience using Dayforce a plus Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills
