About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources Generalist to support our Canaan manufacturing site. In this role, you will partner closely with site leadership to execute HR strategies, support employee relations, and drive key HR initiatives that enhance workforce performance and engagement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to both day-to-day operations and strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

HR Business Partnership

  • Support the execution of HR strategies aligned with site and business objectives
  • Partner with managers to address workforce needs, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness

Talent & Workforce Management

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to support recruiting and hiring activities
  • Review and support performance management, compensation decisions, and employee development requests
  • Ensure fair and competitive compensation practices

Employee Relations & Policy Support

  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, performance issues, and corrective actions
  • Interpret and apply HR policies to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Support training for employees and managers on HR-related topics

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations (EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
  • Advise leaders on EEO guidelines and workplace best practices

HR Programs & Continuous Improvement

  • Support or lead HR initiatives including talent management, employee engagement, and site programs
  • Analyze HR metrics and trends to drive data-informed decisions
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance HR processes

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize HR systems to manage employee data, reporting, and HR processes efficiently

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 2 years of Human Resources or related field experience
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices (e.g., EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA)
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
  • Experience supporting multiple HR functions (employee relations, compensation, talent management, compliance)
  • Familiarity with HR systems (HRIS, SAP, or similar platforms)
