Salary Range: $70,000–$85,000 annually (DOE)

About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team and serve as a frontline resource for employees and managers. This is a hands-on, generalist role where you'll handle day-to-day HR operations — from employee inquiries and leave administration to workers' compensation and policy guidance — in close partnership with our HRBP and Senior HR Director.

What you will do

• Own the HR inbox — triage employee and manager inquiries, resolve routine issues independently, and escalate complex matters appropriately
• Administer leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, disability, and company leaves), including tracking, documentation, and employee communication
• Coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial report through return-to-work and modified duty
• Maintain accurate employee records and data in HRIS
• Guide employees and managers on HR policies, programs, and procedures with consistency and professionalism
• Support employee lifecycle activities and day-to-day HR operations
• Assist with HR projects including policy rollouts, training programs, and process improvements

What we are looking for

• 2–5 years of experience in a professional HR role
• Experience supporting leave administration (FMLA/CFRA) and workers' compensation preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Hands-on experience with an HRIS and/or Learning Management System
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Clear, professional communication — written and verbal
