Job Description

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Strategic HR Leadership & Business Partnership

1. Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the leadership team, aligning people strategies with business objectives, growth priorities, and organizational transformation initiatives.

2. Develop and execute an integrated HR strategy that supports operational excellence, talent sustainability, workforce productivity, and long-term business success.

3. Leverage workforce analytics, market intelligence, and organizational insights to identify opportunities, address business challenges, and implement impactful people solutions.

4. Drive organizational effectiveness through workforce planning, organizational design, succession management, leadership capability building, and change management initiatives.

HR Operations, Governance & Compliance

1. Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, company policies, and Emerson standards by implementing effective HR governance, policies, processes, and controls.

2. Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce restructuring, disciplinary matters, and risk mitigation to achieve balanced and pragmatic business outcomes.

3. Lead all HR-related aspects of organizational change, restructuring, acquisitions.

Talent, Culture & Employee Experience

1. Lead enterprise-wide talent management initiatives, including talent acquisition, performance management, leadership development, succession planning, learning and development, and employee career growth programs.

2. Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that reflects Emerson's values and leadership expectations, while promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

3. Drive employee engagement and listening strategies through pulse surveys, annual engagement surveys, focus groups, and communication forums, translating insights into meaningful actions that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.

4. Partner with business leaders to strengthen employee wellbeing, retention, productivity, and engagement while creating an environment where employees can thrive and contribute at their highest potential.

Ethics, Compliance & Corporate Responsibility

1. Serve as the site Ethics Contact, maintaining ethics records, supporting investigations, partnering with Business Unit Ethics Officers, and ensuring timely closure of corrective actions.

2. Promote a strong culture of integrity and accountability by increasing employee awareness of ethics and compliance requirements and ensuring completion of all mandatory compliance training programs.

3. Champion employee health, safety, wellbeing, and sustainability initiatives in partnership with site leadership to support Emerson's commitment to a safe and responsible workplace.

Team Leadership

1. Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing HR team by fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and value creation.

2. Build organizational HR capability by developing talent within the HR function and ensuring the team possesses the skills needed to support current and future business priorities.

For This Role, You Will Need:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related discipline; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
2. Minimum 15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant leadership experience supporting medium to large multinational manufacturing organizations.
3. Proven track record of partnering with senior business leaders to drive organizational transformation, talent strategies, and business performance.
4. Strong knowledge of China labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices, with the ability to balance legal compliance and business needs through practical and commercially sound solutions.
5. Demonstrated expertise in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, culture transformation, leadership development, and change management.
6. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
7. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust across all levels of the organization.
8. High degree of integrity, professionalism, business maturity, and sound judgment when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
9. Good communication and presentation skills in Mandarin and English.
10. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, effectively managing competing priorities while delivering sustainable business outcomes.
