Job Description

People Operations Coordinator

A high-performing global organization is looking for a People Operations Coordinator to join its New York team. This role sits at the intersection of HR operations, employee experience, and talent development, providing hands-on support across several important stages of the employee journey.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable managing detailed processes, and motivated by finding smarter ways to work. This is an opportunity to gain broad exposure across the People function while supporting initiatives ranging from new hire onboarding and employee changes to early career programming and professional development.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Employee Experience and HR Operations

  • Coordinate a thoughtful and well-organized onboarding experience for interns, recent graduates, and experienced professionals.
  • Serve as an accessible resource for new employees, helping them navigate orientation, HR systems, benefits enrollment, internal resources, and company programs.
  • Support recurring HR processes, including employee changes, employment verifications, relocations, performance review administration, and departures.
  • Maintain accurate employee information within Workday and other internal systems.
  • Prepare reports, update trackers, and ensure People-related information remains organized and accessible.
  • Handle confidential employee matters with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.

Learning and Early Career Programs

  • Provide logistical and administrative support for internship, new graduate, leadership development, and employee learning programs.
  • Coordinate program calendars, meetings, speakers, communications, materials, and participant information.
  • Manage program details from initial planning and pre-arrival preparation through completion and follow-up.
  • Support feedback surveys, evaluations, and reporting to help measure program effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal leaders and facilitators to create a smooth and engaging experience for participants.

Process Improvement and Collaboration

  • Review existing workflows and identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and create a better employee experience.
  • Use technology and AI tools to organize information, analyze data, streamline processes, and improve reporting.
  • Partner closely with colleagues across Recruiting, Legal, Compliance, Workplace Services, Technology, and the broader business.
  • Track multiple priorities simultaneously while ensuring deadlines, details, and follow-up items are handled consistently.
  • Contribute to additional People team projects and initiatives as business needs evolve.

What We’re Looking For

  • At least two years of experience in HR operations, talent or learning program coordination, campus recruiting, employee experience, or a related area.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A proactive mindset and the ability to anticipate needs, identify problems, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Experience improving processes or introducing efficiencies into existing workflows.
  • Confidence communicating with employees, business leaders, vendors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to manage several projects at once in a fast-moving and complex environment.
  • Strong judgment when working with confidential or sensitive information.
  • Comfort operating independently, navigating ambiguity, and taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Experience using AI or other technology to summarize information, evaluate data, create reports, or automate repetitive tasks.
  • Familiarity with Workday or another leading HRIS is strongly preferred.
  • Previous exposure to internship, campus recruiting, or early career programs is a plus.
  • A collaborative attitude, intellectual curiosity, resilience, and a sense of humor.
  • Consistent and dependable availability.
