Human Resources Coordinator
Department: Human Resources
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Pleasanton, CA
Reporting To: Haley Bukowski
Compensation: $80,000 - $105,000 / year
Scope
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting day-to-day HR operations across the organization, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee data management, compliance, and general HR administration. This role contributes to delivering a consistent, high-quality employee experience while building foundational HR knowledge within a fast-paced construction environment.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports directly to the HR Director. Collaborates with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Operations, and Corporate Support Teams.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Coordinate recruiting activities including interview scheduling, candidate communications, career fairs, and recruiting events.
- Support job postings, applicant tracking, background screening, pre-employment activities, and onboarding.
- Assist with internship and college recruiting programs.
- Maintain recruiting records and ATS data.
Employee Experience & HR Partnership
- Serve as a responsive first point of contact for employee questions.
- Support onboarding, offboarding, recognition, and engagement initiatives.
- Coordinate employee communications and HR events.
- Escalate employee relations concerns appropriately while maintaining confidentiality.
Total Rewards & HR Operations
- Maintain HRIS data integrity.
- Support benefits, payroll coordination, leave administration, and HR transactions.
- Assist with annual HR processes and reporting.
Talent Development & Performance
- Coordinate training and LMS administration.
- Support performance management cycles.
- Maintain training records and certifications.
Compliance, Continuous Improvement & Organizational Excellence
- Maintain compliance with policies and employment laws.
- Support audits and documentation.
- Identify process improvements and participate in HR projects.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Technical
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems (ADP preferred)
• Basic understanding of HR processes and compliance requirements
Business and Management
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Understanding of administrative workflows and business operations
Interpersonal
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to provide responsive and professional employee support

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• 0–2 years of HR or administrative experience
• Experience with HRIS or ATS systems preferred
Work Environment
• Primarily office-based with standard business hours

Physical Demands:
Performance of the required duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, passenger use of construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job requires use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, sit, talk and hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
