REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF HR
WHAT DO our HR COORDINATORS DO?
- Support full-cycle talent acquisition activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interview scheduling, and candidate communication.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure efficient and positive recruitment experience.
- Maintain and manage applicant tracking and HR systems, including Dayforce, ensuring accurate and up-to-date data.
- Coordinate onboarding processes such as offer letters, background checks, and new hire setup.
- Facilitate and/or co-facilitate new hire orientation sessions, delivering a welcoming and engaging onboarding experience.
- Prepare orientation materials, presentations, and training resources.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement programs, training efforts, and process improvements.
- Assist with HR reporting and metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, turnover trends).
- Maintain employee records and provide general HR support while ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED TO BE A SUCCESSFUL HR COORDINATOR?
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including confidence presenting to groups.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and data.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with hiring managers and employees.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to improving processes.
- Comfort working with HR systems, particularly Dayforce.
QualificationsWHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS I NEED TO HAVE?
- Post secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–4 years of HR experience, with a focus on talent acquisition or recruiting coordination.
- Hands-on experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) required.
- Experience supporting or facilitating new hire orientation or training sessions.
WHAT IS THE WORK ENVIRONMENT LIKE?
- Normal office working conditions. Work requires regular sitting/standing at a desk, working with a computer. This position requires standing, walking, sitting, using hands, seeing, reaching, talking, writing, and hearing.
- Position may require hours that exceed normal working hours per day during peak periods.
HOW OFTEN WILL I GET FORMAL FEEDBACK ON HOW WELL I’M DOING?
- Annual performance reviews with quarterly conversations to review progress and stay interviews.
- Performance review goals will be established between you and your team leader.
