Our Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative support to the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition teams, ensuring a seamless employee experience from recruitment through onboarding and beyond. This role is responsible for coordinating new hire processes, maintaining employee records, supporting compliance initiatives, and serving as a resource for employees and managers.
Note: This is a hybrid role and will be required to attend new hire orientation 1-2 times per month in our Des Moines office
What You'll Do
• Coordinate the onboarding process from offer acceptance through new hire orientation.
• Process background checks, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
• Prepare and maintain employee records within the HRIS, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Facilitate new hire orientation, including first-day setup, I-9 completion, and onboarding documentation.
• Verify employment eligibility and maintain I-9 records in compliance with federal regulations.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions related to HR policies, onboarding, and general HR processes.
• Process employee status changes, terminations, and other HR transactions.
• Assist with HR compliance initiatives, including licensure, certification, and training audits.
• Maintain HR documentation, correspondence, and personnel files.
• Support HR projects, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Operations, and Clinical Leadership to ensure an exceptional employee experience.
• Perform other HR administrative duties as assigned.
What You Have
• Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 1–3 years of Human Resources, recruiting, or administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce experience preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Interest in growing a career in Human Resources, with a desire to develop into an HR Generalist role.
