About Us: Spartronics is a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider supporting some of the world’s most innovative companies in the Aerospace & Defense, Medical, Life Sciences, and Industrial markets. We specialize in high-quality, complex manufacturing—including printed circuit board assembly (PCBA), subsystem integration, and full box builds.

Location: Spartronics (750 East 1600 N; North Logan, UT 84341)

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday ( 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

About the Role:

We are seeking an HR Coordinator/Front Desk Receptionist to play a key role in supporting and managing daily Human Resources functions at Spartronics. This position is crucial for ensuring seamless HR operations and fostering a positive workplace culture. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact at the front desk and support HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, compliance, and employee engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities – Front Desk:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
  • Greet and check in visitors and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls; take messages as needed.
  • Manage the front desk email inbox and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain visitor logs, badges, and building access procedures.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages to the correct department.
  • Coordinate conference room scheduling and meeting preparations.
  • Keep office supplies stocked and coordinate reorders as needed.
  • Order lunches for visitors and assist with catering needs for company events.
  • Support HR and administrative teams with clerical tasks, filing, and data entry.
  • Follow company policies and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Key Responsibilities – HR Coordinator:

  • Manage job postings, screen resumes, and schedule and conduct phone screen interviews.
  • Assist with onboarding new hires, including paperwork, system setup, and orientation activities.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files and required documentation.
  • Process employee status changes to ensure accurate and up-to-date HRIS records.
  • Oversee temporary employees’ timecards and coordinate with staffing agencies for accurate records and timely payroll processing.
  • Communicate policy updates and HR best practices to employees.
  • Organize employee engagement activities, meetings, and community involvement initiatives.
  • Support a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
  • Collaborate on special HR initiatives such as diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of administrative or HR experience; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • General knowledge of HR and payroll laws and best practices.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality are essential.
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and fostering team success.
  • Must be U.S. persons within the definition of ITAR, with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior receptionist or administrative experience.
  • Experience with the Paylocity HRIS platform.
  • Experience in recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Key Metrics and Focus Areas:

  • Providing reliable administrative support to HR and leadership teams.
  • Streamlining recruitment processes, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Enhancing employee engagement and company culture.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements involving typing, using a mouse, handling paperwork, and filing.
  • Occasional lifting of files, boxes, or other office supplies up to 30 lbs.

Compensation: This is a non-exempt position with bi-weekly pay. Compensation is based on work experience in human resources, administrative support, education, and prior work experience.
