Responsibilities


We are seeking an HR Specialist who is passionate about
the care and support of others. In this role, your primary focus will be
working on the day-to-day activities with the Director of HR and Recruiting
team; this includes, employee onboarding, payroll, compliance, and many other
critical facets of the wellbeing of our stewards. You will be collaborating
with other key stakeholders and leaders and have meticulous attention to
important details. You will create and nurture ongoing relationships with
Ascent employees, their families, and guests of Ascent, demonstrating our core

  • Respond to employees’ inquiries and provide resolution
    in a timely and professional manner.

  • Prepares and preserves personnel records,
    organizational charts, HR metrics, and other human resources data

  • Coordination of new hire onboarding activities and
    working with hiring manager on first week experience

  • Administration of HRIS system,
    providing support to employees and working with vendor to maintain current
    records

  • Process bi-monthly payroll and
    provides support for employee questions

  • Assist in
    creating, implementing, and evaluating all human resource department
    policies, procedures, and structures.

  • Coordinate background and
    drug screenings. This includes working with the Resource Manager on
    forecasted work to meet customer compliance requirements

  • Work
    with recruiting on hiring analysis and perform compensation analysis

  • MSA document review for
    customer compliance

  • Performance management. Work
    with counselors and hiring managers to collect 90-day new hire check
    points, mid-year check ins, and annual performance reviews.

  • Manage employee care and
    coordinate resources to offer support


Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 2-4 years of
    proven experience with payroll and human resources processes.

  • Strong knowledge of payroll
    processes.

  • Understanding of the full HR
    and Recruitment process.

  • Outstanding verbal and written
    communication skills.

  • Solid problem-solving and team
    management abilities.


Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

  • Must be able to be on call for emergencies occurring outside of normal business hours
