Position Summary

- - - This position oversees processes associated with several key areas within Human Resources, examples include:  benefit administration, leave administration, HRIS administration, compliance, workers’ compensation, etc.

- - - Reports to the Associate Director of Human Resources.

- - - Principal Duties and Responsibilities

- - - - Provide internal & external customers with outstanding service, accurate information and timely responses.
- - - - Benefits Administration, to include: employee communication regarding eligibility and general questions, enrollments, changes, terminations and COBRA.
- - - - Complete new hire and termination processes in HRIS database and benefit portal(s) for employees.
- - - - Leave Administration to include: FMLA, NJFLA, personal medical leaves and disability insurance.
- - - - Complete administrative tasks associated with work-related injuries; collect required reports and enter claim details in online portal.
- - - - Proactively communicate expiring compliance documentation to staff; update HRIS system with new documentation and expiration dates.
- - - - Maintain the confidentiality of agency/ employee information & files.
- - - - Prepare, maintain and disseminate reports related to HR processes and compliance tracking.
- - - - Communicate employee information to management team, Payroll and IT as needed.
- - - - Adhere to regulatory timelines for personnel transactions:  I9’s, background checks, , etc.
- - - - Ensure personnel files are up-to-date with required information; timely filing of all paperwork.
- - - - Participate in ongoing Human Resources projects.
- - - - Perform self-audits on personnel files, benefit records and compliance and fingerprint logs.
- - - - Ensure accuracy of data maintained in the HRIS and timekeeping systems; promptly report any discrepancies.
- - - - Maintain accurate information on Human Resource tracking reports; ability to generate specific reporting data when requested.
- - - - Serve as the liaison with external departments, regulatory agencies, staff and management.
- - - - Cooperate with company and regulatory agency personnel during an audit, inspection or investigation.
- - - - Comply with federal and state employment laws, in addition to agency policy and procedure.
- - - - Provide back-up support to the Recruiter and Administrative Assistant, when required.
- - - - Perform other duties as assigned.

- - - - Ability to demonstrate general knowledge of Human Resources competencies; understands how to apply competencies in day-to-day transactions with staff and management.

- - - - Ability to self-direct and prioritize projects to ensure timely completion with attention to detail.
- - - - Ability to read, write and speak English and communicate effectively with all constituencies of a diverse community; perform arithmetical calculations.
- - - - Fully proficient at an advanced level in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Power Point and Excel.

- - - - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Administrative Science, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
- - - - Two (2) years of technical Human Resources administrative experience.
- - - - Valid driver’s license in current state of residence.
- - - - Appropriate additional experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirements and vice versa.
