POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Position Expectations
The Safety and Workers Compensation Manager is responsible for managing and monitoring agency safety programs and procedures. Ensures the safety programs meet OSHA requirements, completes and files OSHA reports/documentation and conducts regular audits and training.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition
- Manages applicant tracking system and job boards.
- Assists in auditing job descriptions, postings, and interview notes as requested.
- Creates new-hire orientation attendee roster.
- Assists HR management with the check-in process during new hire orientation.
- Creates and distributes name badges for existing and newly hired team members.
- Assist agency management, with monitoring and placing background check orders and drug screenings.
- Support Human Resources management with all aspects of hiring events.
- Generates monthly reports, e.g., performance evaluations, training, talent acquisition, HRIS as requested.
Administrative
- Provides data entry support as needed.
- Provides HR process assistance such as file maintenance, ADP reports/audit, inquiry/concern support, etc.
- Supports HRIS maintenance.
- Processes employment verifications.
- Assist team members troubleshoot access to their HRIS profile.
- Greets and assists team members by answering basic and general questions when they call or visit the corporate office.
- Assists with special projects as necessary.
- Participate in special events or activities as directed.
- Assists in any other projects or tasks as determined by management.
Benefits
- Assists with the preparation of benefits open enrollment to include the preparation of benefit material and literature, organizing, maintaining, and updating benefits records.
- Communicating benefits eligibility and enrollment information to team members.
- Respond to basic and general inquiries from team members concerning recruitment efforts, benefits, leave administration and Human Resources services.
- Assists in development and distribution of benefit educational information and activities to include wellness programs, video posting, flyers, posters, etc.
Leave Administration
- Meets with team members to determine leave necessity.
- Enters into the interactive process for leaves, e.g., FML, ADA, personal.
- Distributes necessary leave documentation for all leaves of absence.
- Enters into the interactive process for ADA accommodations.
- Fields calls regarding leaves.
- Check eligibility for leaves of absence inn HRIS.
- When necessary, verify discrepancies on leave documentation, e.g., communicate with team member, doctor, etc.
- Assist in management of leave tracking.
Environmental Factors
Majority of duties performed in an office environment with regulated temperatures.
Physical Factors
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull a minimum of 25 pounds.
- Prolonged standing, walking, reaching, stooping, lifting, pulling, carrying, sitting at a desk, and working on a computer.

QualificationsEducation, Experience, and Requirements
- High School/GED Completion or Associate’s degree in any related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of Human Resources Administrative Assistant experience.
- Advanced knowledge in Human Resources Information Systems, ADP preferred.
- Proven experience in exercising effective independent judgement and independent work completion with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all team members.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software including a strong emphasis on Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills with excellent communication skills.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Exhibits a high level of integrity and business ethics.
- Exhibits a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
