Job Description

The Human Resources Business Partner:Strategic Programs supports the HR Manager in executing key HR initiatives and department priorities. This role provides project management, research, coordination, and operational support to move established initiatives from planning through implementation.

The position requires broad HR experience, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining consistent follow-through. The HR Manager also supervises an HR Generalist responsible for employee relations, workplace investigations, and other assigned HR responsibilities.

Location: Austin, TX *(ONSITE)*

Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM)

Compensation: 75,000 - 90,000 Annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned HR initiatives and projects from planning through implementation and completion.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, and action items to keep HR initiatives on track.
  • Coordinate the rollout of HR programs, policies, processes, and tools, including communication, training, and change management.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, delays, and barriers, and provide regular updates to HR leadership.
  • Conduct research, gather information, and analyze HR data to support projects, reporting, and decision-making.
  • Evaluate HR programs and processes and recommend improvements based on feedback, data, and business needs.
  • Serve as a resource to employees and leaders regarding HR policies, programs, and established processes.
  • Support consistent HR practices and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, workflows, and documentation.
  • Develop and maintain HR procedures, templates, resources, and process documentation.
  • Partner with HR leadership and business leaders to identify workforce needs and implement effective HR solutions.
  • Manage, coach, and develop an HR Generalist supporting employee relations, investigations, and other HR responsibilities.
  • Establish expectations and priorities, monitor performance, and ensure assigned work is completed accurately and timely.
  • Oversee employee relations matters and ensure significant issues, investigation findings, and potential risks are appropriately escalated.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Broad working knowledge across multiple areas of Human Resources.
  • Demonstrated experience managing HR projects, programs, or cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience supervising, coaching, or developing employees.
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to organize work, manage timelines, and drive projects through completion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to take an established priority or initiative, determine the work required, and independently manage execution.
  • Strong research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining appropriate communication with HR leadership.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in a high-growth, multi-location, or rapidly changing organization.
  • Experience with Workday or a similar HRIS platform.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of HR programs, policies, processes, or systems.
  • Formal project management training or project management certification.
  • SHRM-CP, SPHR, or similar HR certification.
