What We Need:

We are looking for an Human Resources Business Partner to join our HNI corporate team supporting our Information & Digital Technologies function.

The HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to assigned client groups, partnering with leaders to align people strategies with business objectives and drive organizational effectiveness. This role provides consultation on workforce planning, talent management, organizational design, performance management, employee relations, and change management while leveraging workforce data and business insights to support decision-making. The HR Business Partner operates independently, influences outcomes without direct authority, and serves as a trusted partner to leaders across the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Build strong partnerships with leaders and serve as a trusted advisor on workforce, talent, and organizational matters.
  • Partner with leaders to identify workforce needs, talent gaps, succession risks, and staffing priorities that support business objectives.
  • Consult leaders on organizational effectiveness opportunities to improve team performance, productivity, engagement, and overall business results.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, career development, promotions, corrective action, talent decisions, and employee engagement strategies.
  • Lead investigations and resolve complex employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, corrective actions, and risk mitigation.
  • Analyze workforce data, business metrics, engagement insights, and organizational trends to identify risks, diagnose challenges, and recommend solutions.
  • Support organizational design discussions, workforce transitions, restructuring activities, and talent planning initiatives.
  • Influence leaders through consultation, coaching, and business insight to drive effective people and business outcomes.
  • Support leaders and teams through organizational change initiatives by assisting with planning, communication, implementation, and adoption activities.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Learning & Development, Benefits, Legal, and other Centers of Excellence to deliver integrated people solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements while balancing business objectives and member experience.
  • Document personnel actions, investigations, compensation changes, and compliance activities in accordance with established MCR processes and controls.
  • Participate in strategic projects and initiatives that advance organizational effectiveness, member engagement, and business performance.

What You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP, or equivalent professional certification desired.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources, Business Partner, employee relations, or related business experience.
  • Experience supporting leaders in workforce planning, talent management, organizational effectiveness, and employee relations.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Experience utilizing workforce data, metrics, and business insights to support decision-making and problem-solving.
