INTEX Millwork Solutions is a business unit of James Hardie Building ProductsWe are seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to provide broad-based HR support at our Mays Landing, NJ facility.The HRBP will report directly to the HR Director with a dotted line to the GM, and will support HR initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, organizational development, compensation, and benefits

Your primary duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Ability to balance generalist responsibility with employee advocacy and build a positive culture in a rapidly changing environment
  • Successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement and champion employee engagement and retention efforts
  • Develop and build a strong partnership with business leaders
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement, developing and validating people processes and transactions to identify ways to simplify, optimize, or automate administrative work
  • Provide guidance on and assist with HR-related matters such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, people development, and time and attendance/payroll
  • Spearhead projects that solve current business problems and/or directly contribute to long-term objectives
  • Drive the onboarding program including conducting new hire orientation and coordination with other departments
  • Understand the employee lifecycle and drive solutions that are thoughtful and reinforced by talent programs
  • Maintain employee-related data using our HRIS (UltiPro/UKG), preparing and analyzing reports as necessary
  • Support employee-focused activities such as roundtables and community service activities
  • Bias for action, stellar work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
  • Strong problem-solving skills: ability to draw from experience to recommend creative solutions

We believe the successful candidate will have:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience working in human resources
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources, Business, or related field. As with all positions at James Hardie, a satisfactory combination of education and professional experience will be considered
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities
  • Experience with onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compensation, and benefits
  • Experience maintaining an HRIS, UltiPro/UKG experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Solutions-oriented when building processes and solving problems
  • Direct, concise communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Bilingual/Spanish-speaking skills are a plus

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $90,000 to $120,000. Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience, skills, geography and internal equity and may change over time. This position qualifies for benefits and you will be eligible to participate in a bonus plan.
