What You’ll Be Doing: What you will be doing: Working under our Aspira Retirement Division, the Human Resources Business Partner will support 6 to 7 retirement residences within the assigned regional portfolio of East GTA (Oshawa, Belleville, Port Hope and Kingston)

Reporting to the Director of HR Business Partner, this role is critical in supporting front line operations with their HR needs including but not limited to HR policies, programs, progressive discipline, investigations, and day-to-day inquiries from staff.

  • Facilitates professional and superior customer service by partnering with a client group to support all HR matters, including, but not limited to recruitment; retention; labor and team member relation issues; interpretation of human resources policy and procedure, collective agreements, employment legislation; grievance management; performance management; attendance management; compensation packages; W.S.I.B. management; Health and Safety practices; benefit, retirement and pension plans;
  • Supports a client group in performance management and compensation related efforts
    including compensation planning, and guidance on performance feedback;
  • Partners with business leaders to provide day to day performance management guidance
    consistent with the organization policies, including coaching, counseling, managing poor
    performance, providing difficult performance management feedback and champion career
    development needs;
  • Provide strategic support for the business by partnering in the development of a talent
    management strategy to support team member engagement around succession, planning,
    development and coaching
  • Drive communication to help facilitate change management process through the business,
    assisting leaders and team members in understanding and supporting the organizational
    changes

Who you are:

  • Minimum 5 years of human resources consulting experience; CHRP designation is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to consult, influence and partner with senior leaders in developing
    and/or executing people strategies to drive business performance;
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills at all levels of the organization;
  • Demonstrated success resolving complex HR issues;
  • Has working knowledge of Labour and Canadian employment law, current HR trends and the
    ability to use such knowledge proactively in consulting with clients;
  • Ability to consult on application of policy and process as well as trends, themes, and
    solutions;
  • Ability to anticipate changes required within the business and to drive such changes in
    partnership with business leaders;
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and initiative in dealing with confidential
    information and/or in responding to inquiries;

  • Salary Range: $80,839 - $101,049 **Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity**

  • Travel to Retirement Residence sites across GTA East for HR Support is a requirement of the role - successful candidate must have access to a reliable vehicle and G license (mileage reimbursement applies)
