Essential Functions

  • Talent Management
    • Source candidates by posting open positions, reviewing resumes, and managing candidates through Workday.
    • Review applications, conduct phone interviews, and coordinate on-site interviews with hiring managers.
    • Oversee new hire processes for the area, including onboarding coordination and orientation delivery.
    • Attend school career fairs and assist in coordinating the area internship program.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures through day-to-day contact and policy training support.
    • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
    • Maintain the area Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) and assist with OFCCP/EEO implementation and reporting requirements.
    • Participate in area EEO, DOT, and state audits.
    • Assist with identifying and implementing targeted outreach activities.
  • HCM / Reporting
    • Maintain accurate HRIS (Workday) records and ensure compliance with document retention requirements.
    • Compile and provide reports from the database as needed to support area leadership and HR initiatives.
    • Serve as a resource for employees by assisting with Workday access, navigation, and resolving basic system-related inquiries.
  • Benefits
    • Provide benefit support to eligible employees, including assisting with open enrollment.
    • Coordinate with Corporate HR when area benefit inquiries or concerns arise to ensure timely resolution.
    • Coordinate leave requests (FMLA, state leave, parental, disability, military, etc.) in consultation with Corporate HR.
    • Serve as area contact/ambassador for the mental health program.
  • Employee Relations
    • Provide day-to-day coaching to supervisors and employees on conflict resolution, performance improvement, and policy interpretation.
    • In consultation with Corporate HR, conduct employee relations investigations and recommend corrective action.
    • Advise and participate, as needed, in performance improvement plans (PIPs) and involuntary terminations.
  • HR Initiatives
    • Support broader HR initiatives, special projects, and continuous improvement efforts as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of related human resources experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industry.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem solving and conflict management abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Workday preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification

Working Conditions

  • Location – This position will work out of our Denver, CO office supporting the Mountain area projects.
  • Travel – This role will be expected to travel to project locations 15% of the time.
  • Office environment – extensive sitting at desk and computer; some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required; ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally.
  • Construction site environment – physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. May be exposed to high noise levels.
  • Schedule: M-F, 8am – 5pm

  • Base salary range is $100,000 - $125,000 a year, which varies depending on many factors, including experience, skills, and knowledge.
  • This role is eligible for a discretionary bonus.
