  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and HR best practices.
  • Provide guidance to leaders regarding legal, regulatory, and policy-related matters.
  • Oversee workers' compensation matters and partner with internal and external resources as needed.
  • Support training, development, and safety initiatives that strengthen employee capability and organizational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a key HR resource for employee communications, organizational change, and site-wide HR initiatives.
  • Act as the company's HR representative within the local community and support community engagement activities.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

  • Builds trust and credibility with employees and leaders at all levels.
  • Maintains a visible presence on the production floor and actively engages with employees across shifts.
  • Balances empathy and approachability with consistency, accountability, and sound decision-making.
  • Demonstrates strong business acumen and the ability to influence leaders.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and effectively manages multiple priorities.
  • Uses data, judgment, and problem-solving skills to drive solutions and improve outcomes.
  • Communicates effectively and confidently in challenging situations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or multi-shift environment.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, employment law, talent management, compensation practices, and organizational development.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and coaching leaders.
