Job Description

Essential Job Functions

Strategic Partnership

  • Partner with functional leaders to understand business priorities and translate them into practical, actionable HR solutions.
  • Support workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and talent discussions within assigned client groups.
  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to align enterprise initiatives with local business needs.
  • Analyze and respond to engagement trends to support the implementation of strategies that strengthen motivation, well-being, and retention.

Talent Management & Employee Engagement

  • Support succession planning efforts and development conversations within assigned teams.
  • Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement initiatives that reinforce inclusion, recognition, and continuous feedback.
  • Model and reinforce Crane Worldwide Logistics’ values in all interactions and decisions.

Performance Management & Employee Relations

  • Support the execution of core HR programs, including performance management, engagement initiatives, and manager capability building.
  • Coach leaders on employee development and retention.
  • Serve as a hands-on resource for managers navigating day-to-day people matters including employee relations, providing guidance, documentation support, and risk-aware recommendations while building long-term capability.
  • Partner with HR Leadership on complex or sensitive situations as appropriate.

Change Management & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Support change initiatives that enhance clarity, alignment, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with leaders on role clarity, team structure, and evolving business needs.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the employee experience.
  • Apply best practices to support consistency, efficiency, and strong manager support.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use a computer and standard office equipment.
  • Some light lifting may be required in limited instances.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a high-growth, evolving, or lean environment.

  • Solid knowledge of U.S. employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.

  • Highly adaptable, organized, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities.

Certification and Licenses

  • Professional certification may be required in some areas.
