Position Title: Human Resources Business Partner

Department: Human Resources/People Services Department

Reports to: Chief People Officer

FLSA: Exempt

Salary Range:
$92,500.00 - $96,377.83 annually

General Description:

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) plays a critical role in aligning people centric strategies that support organizational goals, while providing direction and oversight within Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and Employee Engagement and HRIS best practices. This position supports leaders across the organization and champions cultural alignment, accountability and equitable people centric support to TRE’s valuable workforce.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the HR Teams talent acquisition, candidate experience, hiring, onboarding and employee engagement efforts, in partnership with the Senior Human Resources Generalist, Culture and Engagement Manager and CPO. This role monitors data and KPI’s to forecast employment needs and strategy realignments when required. May serve on Executive Team as needed/requested.
  2. Champions an interactive and personalized candidate journey that reflects TRE’s values and Predictive Index interview and reflection points. Evaluates jobs within TRE to reflect skills-based qualifications that are compatible with state regulations and Predictive Index behaviors and skill targets.
  3. Consults with legal counsel as needed to ensure that hiring, onboarding and compensation policies comply with federal and state law.
  4. Works collaboratively with the Learning and Staff Development Team, IT Team, Culture and Engagement Manager on the candidate experience, onboarding efforts, new employee learning modules and the annual evaluation of progress. Communicates updates regularly to CPO and/or Executive Team. This role will support people-centric systems, automation and efficiencies to support staff and candidate experience.
  5. Collaboratively supports any hiring event efforts in partnership with the Senior HR Generalist and HR Team.
  6. In collaboration with IT, this role will serve as the project lead and oversight that TRE has the most efficient and user-friendly human resources information system (HRIS) that meets top management information needs. This role will be responsible for project planning and management of re-evaluation of current HRIS and/or new HRIS system and assigns HR, IT and/or Learning teams staff to support a full compatibility, integration, and needs testing for a new HRIS system.
  7. Provides direct oversight of coaching, guidance and decisions on employee relations, conflict resolution and/or inclusive communication. Leads HR Managers with consistent, equitable and fair practices with employee performance management and/or disciplinary actions.
  8. Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of employment records required by law or local governing bodies, or other departments in the organization. Ensures that all employment records are filed and stored appropriately and provides training as needed in partnership with HR Manager of compliance.
  9. In partnership with HR Managers, maintains oversight for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation about all legal, employee performance, and personnel matters.
  10. Co-Lead the Employee Engagement and Wellness Committee in partnership with the Culture and Engagement Manager on all efforts and activities of the committee, to include annual employee event.
  11. In partnership with HR Manager, this role develops, evaluates and implements performance discussion templates built within the performance management module within TRE HRIS systems. This role also provides oversight of the Predictive Index modules to include hire, develop and inspire to include data review and trainings as needed in partnership with CPO, HR Manager and Culture and Engagement Manager.
  12. With CPO and Learning and Staff Development, recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development goals and efforts for the organization.
  13. Supervises, inspires and mentors members of the human resource department to be strategic talent advisors and culture ambassadors.
  14. Participates on committees and special projects and supports additional responsibilities based upon needs of the organization.

  1. Participate in professional opportunities (committees, workshops, conferences, journal readings) based on the personal professional development plan.
  2. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Minimum:

  1. Knowledge of leadership, management, and supervisory skills to build collaborative teams.
  2. Ability to provide supervision on best practices to ensure each staff has professional ability to make sound judgments as they deal with other people.

  5. Knowledge of state, federal and local regulations regarding benefits, employment, personnel records, and records retention.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of HR policy and procedures.

  8. Skill in exercising initiative, organization, planning, good judgment and sound decision making.
  9. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  10. Strong computer skills and knowledge of HRIS systems and system transitions/enhancements.
  11. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  12. Ability to creatively conceptualize various instructional materials.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum: Five to seven years' related HR experience in health care, non-profit or education setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of direct supervision of HR teams/staff.

Preferred: 5+ years of experience equivalent to HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or HRIS Manager experience; must demonstrate strong background in HRIS change management with a variety of different employers/industries, must demonstrate 5+ years of experience in oversight in Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition. Human Resources certificate (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) or ability to obtain within two years of service.

Working Environment/Physical Activities: Office, community, private residences, commercial properties, and virtual environment settings. Moderate physical activity required, such as walking, sitting, standing, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.A working vehicle, valid CO driver’s license (unless active Military family), and minimum insurance levels ($100,000/$300,000/$100,000 liability coverage recommended) are required.
