Partners Community Health (PCH) is a new not-for-profit organization, focused on bringing healthcare services together around the needs of people living in Mississauga and West Toronto. PCH currently operates two new state-of the-art LTC homes and community hub in West Mississauga. The new homes have a combined 632-beds and be part of PCH’s larger strategy that introduce innovative and inclusive programs and services and new models of care delivery. Partners Community Health (PCH) is seeking a Human Resource Assistant (Summer Student) to support the Human Resources team. Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role provides administrative and clerical support while offering hands-on experience in a professional HR environment. The successful candidate will assist with daily HR operations, employee services, and recruitment activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide administrative and clerical support to daily HR operations
• Maintain and update confidential employee records and HR databases
• Respond to general HR inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed
• Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and documentation
• Ensure HR processes comply with company policies, labour regulations, and privacy standards
• Collaborate with departments to support HR initiatives
• File and organize employee records
• Assist with recruitment and onboarding activities, including various stages of the hiring process
• Provide vacation coverage for HR team members
• Support the maintenance, administration, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives
• Perform additional administrative duties as required
Qualifications
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Adaptable, flexible, and self-motivated
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred
• Currently enrolled in a Human Resources, Business, or Administration program
• Previous experience in healthcare, including Long-Term Care (LTCH), is considered an asset but not required
This position offers an hourly wage of $17.60 (minimum wage)
