Human Resources Assistant
Full-Time, Hourly $21 - $25/hour

What You Bring to Brightway Living & Learning:
- High School Diploma
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software applications used for document preparation, data entry & administrative support.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and discretion.
- Effective verbal/written communication skills.
What You Will Do:
- Assist department in carrying out various Human Resources programs and procedures (i.e. Birthday card distribution, special mailings, etc.).
- Process identification badge requests.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required.
- Assist in organizational training and development efforts.
- Respond to employee requests for information.
- Administration of Agency Tuition Reimbursement program (provide information, review applications and process reimbursement to employees).
- Maintain Agency personnel files in Agency document management system.
- Provide coverage for building front reception desk, implementing all building entry procedures while providing professional, courteous, and responsive assistance to employees, visitors, and members of the community when entering the building or asking for assistance.
What You Must Be Able To Do:
- Primarily sedentary work requires extended periods of sitting at a desk or workstation
- Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse for data entry, document preparation, and communication.
- Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, or lifting office materials and supplies (typically up to 10 - 20 pounds).
- Ability to operate standard office equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, copiers, and telephones.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, filing, and handling paperwork.
- Visual acuity sufficient to read documents, computer screens, and detailed reports.
- Possess a hearing and verbal communication ability sufficient to interact effectively with staff, visitors, and external contacts in person and by phone.
- Possess an ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a busy office environment with frequent interruptions.
- Occasional movement within the building to deliver documents, attend meetings, or support administrative functions.
