Summary

  • Works closely with the human resources manager and/or warden assuring missing time is cleared up weekly and all required institutional staff members are enrolled and trained in KRONOS.
  • Ensures accurate payment to employees who leave employment or are suspended, etc.
  • Submits personnel advice forms, employee file, and any applicable documentation to central office in accordance with payroll cutoff schedule.
  • Administratively supports daily needs and assignments of Institutional HR manager and or warden depending on institutional needs including formal document preparation, event planning, receiving incoming calls, executing business office duties, preparing reports, and other administrative assignments as needed by the HR manager and/or warden.
  • Supports institutional staff with payroll, benefits, leave, attendance, recruiting, and employment related Inquiries while maintaining discretion and confidentiality of those Inquiries.
  • Assists with record management by maintaining accurate personnel, medical, and leave records by regularly and efficiently filing employee paperwork, auditing employee files during separation, and processing leave statement, and other reports/files as needed.
  • Serves as backup to the HR manager to assist with the execution of various HR duties including recruiting, job posting, employment, organizational chart updates, employee relations, conducting exit, interviews, new hire orientation, employee corrective action (ECA), benefits, and any other HR related duties as needed by the HR manager and/or warden.
  • Performs other administrative duties and HR duties as assigned.

Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
