The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Promotions Coordinator. The Promotion Coordinator position will be responsible for the Correctional Series promotional certificate process within the Talent Acquisition team. This role will serve as the central point of contact for all promotional certification activities, ensuring employees meet the established eligibility requirements to include the following: verifying examination scores, confirming completion of required training and supporting documentation, certifying employee eligibility for promotions and partnering with the Talent Acquisition staff to ensure minimum qualifications are met prior to advancement.

Job Duties:

-Supports in overseeing the new Correctional Series promotional process. Verify staff exams scores, leadership training and letter of recommendation, and any additional requirements needed for eligibility.
-Certifies employees for the promotion eligibility. Works with recruitment to ensure applicants are qualified and moving through the process.
-Counsels applicants, in person and over the phone, giving information and suggestions concerning employment and promotional opportunities within the agency.
-Creates and manages reports, tracking systems and communication with staff.
-Supports talent acquisition team in providing resources and programming to promotional applicants, central office and overall agency staff to include: resumes reviews, mock interviews, career mapping, and professional development training.
-Other duties as assigned as related to the position

Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job, then the following requirements apply. Any employee operating a motor vehicle on State business must possess and retain a current, valid class-appropriate driver’s license, complete all required training, and successfully pass all necessary driver’s license record checks. The license must be current, unexpired, and neither revoked nor suspended. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records, and must complete all required driver training. An employee who operates a personally owned vehicle on state business shall maintain the statutorily required liability insurance (see Arizona Administrative Code (A.A.C.) R2-10-207.11).

In an effort to maintain a safe environment, all employees are required to take a Tuberculosis (TB) test during their New Employee Orientation and every year thereafter.

Retirement

Positions in this classification participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS).
Enrollment eligibility will become effective after 27 weeks of employment.
