About the Role

The SkyWay Joint Venture (BMD & CPB Contractors) is delivering the Perth New Runway Project, a major infrastructure initiative involving construction of a new 3,000m runway and associated taxiway infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-profile aviation project within a collaborative joint venture environment.

We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Advisor to support the delivery of effective HR, ER and IR services across the project. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you will partner with project leadership and workforce teams to provide generalist HR support, drive compliance, and contribute to workforce engagement, mobilisation and retention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment and selection processes, including support for direct hire labour
  • Facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes across the project
  • Provide HR, ER and IR advice to leaders, including performance, disciplinary matters and grievance handling
  • Support workforce compliance and interpretation of employment legislation, policies and agreements
  • Assist with organisational change initiatives and employee lifecycle activities (promotions, remuneration, role changes)
  • Deliver training and coaching to managers and employees (e.g. induction, performance, EEO, unconscious bias)
  • Maintain accurate employee records and monthly HR reporting
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Support employee engagement, retention and workforce planning initiatives

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or related discipline
  • Minimum 2–4 years’ HR/recruitment experience, ideally within construction or engineering
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence leaders
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation and contracts
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience in a project or site-based environment (desirable)
