Summary:
The HR Administrator is responsible for assisting and facilitating the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department at First State Bank. This role involves a variety of clerical and administrative responsibilities to ensure a positive employee impact while upholding First State Bank’s Mission and Core Values.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional customer service to First State Bank employees by managing incoming calls and visitors by answering questions and completing administrative requests.
Provides administrative support to the HR department and leadership teams such as setting up meetings, running reports, deadline follow-up, and facilitating relevant communications.
Partner to fill in any gaps in processes, events, or systems within the HR department to ensure seamless support.
Partners with the HR Bank Officer to set up interviews and complete required documentation.
Complete credit, background and I-9 plus E-Verify reports for new hires, as well as coordinate drug testing.
Assist in employee Annual Review process and partners with organization leaders to enable changes required for employees.
Coordinate and participate in HR sponsored or Bank sponsored events.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain employee files and HRIS records.
Assists and completes- with HR Leadership team guidance- audit requests and government reporting requirements.
Assists with maintaining copies of training handbooks & procedural manuals for onboarding & training.
Adheres to all First State Bank Policies
Performs other duties as assigned.
QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills- Communicates timely, efficiently, and effectively providing clear responses and when necessary, clear direction to employees, team members, bank leadership.
Excellent technical skills- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office products, Adobe, and other common software.
Education and Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Associate’s degree preferred.
Sufficient experience in an assistant position to senior leadership teams or experience contributing at a high capacity in a high functioning team.

11) Physical Requirements – Lifting – The ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs. up to a height of 3-4 ft. Standing - Must have the ability to remain in stationary positions 100% of the workday. Dexterity – The ability to operate a computer and other office machinery, such as a calculator, adding machine, copy machine and printer. Hearing – the ability to exchange accurate information to customers in regard to their accounts and/or banking procedures.
