
The Language World Services, Inc. Human Resources Administrator works closely with Manager to support our HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The HR Administrator will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as onboarding, maintaining policies and procedures handbooks, and compensation and benefits. On site.
CORE JOB DUTIES
· Organize and maintain personnel records
· Update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave)
· Prepare HR documents, like employment contracts and new hire guides
· Revise company policies
· Liaise with external partners, like insurance vendors, and ensure legal compliance
· Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates)
· Answer employees’ queries about HR-related issues
· Assist payroll department by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leaves of absence, sick days and work schedules)
· Participate in HR projects (e.g. help organize a job fair event)
· Respond to employment verifications and EDD inquiries
· Monitor and help manage Human Resources inbox correspondence and escalate when necessary
· Respond to general HR inquiries and delegate when necessary
· Process all incoming HR related invoices
· Gather, Scan, Send, and Process physical mail received
· Assign and distribute key and alarm code to the office
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
· Proven work experience as an HR Administrator or HR Administrative Assistant
· Experience with HR software, like HRIS or Paylocity
· Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
· Thorough knowledge of labor laws
· Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· 4-year degree in Human Resources or relevant field preferred
· 2-4 years of Human Resources Experience
