Our client designs and manufactures specialized equipment and engineered solutions supporting critical industrial applications across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, food and beverage, marine, mining, and other demanding markets. The organization combines established industrial expertise with an evolving operating environment focused on stronger processes, organizational alignment, and continued growth.

Position Responsibilities:

The Human Resources Manager will lead HR support for two manufacturing facilities, serving as a trusted partner to plant leadership while guiding employee relations, workforce strategy, HR operations, and organizational change across hourly and salaried populations.

  • Serve as the primary HR partner to plant and business leaders across both manufacturing locations.
  • Lead employee relations activities, including investigations, workplace concerns, conflict resolution, corrective actions, performance matters, and conduct issues.
  • Coach operational leaders on practical, consistent decisions aligned with employment requirements and HR policies.
  • Build strong relationships with production employees, skilled trades, supervisors, and senior leadership through visible and responsive HR support.
  • Lead and develop the local HR team while maintaining direct involvement in significant employee and business matters.
  • Oversee HR service delivery, personnel documentation, employee data, reporting, benefits coordination, and recordkeeping.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, staffing, retention, succession planning, and organizational capability.
  • Oversee recruiting and selection efforts in coordination with recruiters, hiring managers, and the local HR team.
  • Strengthen onboarding practices covering performance expectations, safety requirements, organizational practices, and plant culture.
  • Analyze turnover and workforce trends and translate findings into practical retention and workforce actions.
  • Guide performance management, goal setting, salary administration, employee communications, and relevant training initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws, company policies, reporting requirements, audits, and documentation standards.
  • Partner with operations and safety leadership on workplace incidents, investigations, corrective actions, and risk mitigation.
  • Translate broader HR priorities into practical processes that work effectively within manufacturing operations.
  • Support employees and leaders through changing systems, processes, organizational structures, and integration initiatives.

Position requirements:

  • 7–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience within a manufacturing plant or comparable industrial environment.
  • Strong employee relations experience supporting both hourly production and salaried employee populations.
  • Experience supporting skilled trades, welders, or comparable manufacturing and production employees.
  • Broad HR generalist expertise spanning employee relations, talent management, performance, compliance, compensation, benefits, training, and HR operations.
  • Demonstrated experience advising plant managers or senior operational leaders on complex workforce and business matters.
  • Ability to independently lead a local HR function, prioritize competing demands, exercise sound judgment, and drive initiatives through implementation.
  • Experience leading, developing, and coordinating HR team members.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing facilities, operating groups, or business units.
  • Experience supporting organizational integrations, process improvements, or significant operational change.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; graduate education or equivalent relevant experience is valued.

Reasons to Apply:

  • Competitive salary plus a comprehensive benefits package.
  • Health coverage, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored perks.
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays, to support work-life balance.
  • Flexible schedules and work life balance.
  • Strong focus on employee development with on-the-job training and career growth.
  • A positive company culture that values diversity and collaboration.
