Saltire Infrastructure is a growing civil and engineering contractor delivering water and wastewater projects across Western Australia.

We combine engineering, construction and specialist expertise to deliver complex projects, including critical works on live water networks where reliability is essential.

We are seeking a Human Resource Lead to be responsible for day-to-day HR functions across the business.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will work closely with leaders and site teams to shape people outcomes in a fast-moving operational environment.

The Role

You will lead the operational HR function across the business, partnering directly with managers and site teams on recruitment, performance, employee relations and workforce support. This is an opportunity to make your mark in a role with real variety, visibility and influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own employee relations, performance management and day-to-day workforce matters
  • Work directly with site teams, including spending time on site where needed to support operations
  • Run end-to-end recruitment, from advertising through to onboarding
  • Apply employment legislation, awards, and company policies in a practical, consistent way
  • Manage visa processes and workforce compliance where required
  • Maintain core HR systems, records, and reporting

About You

  • 5 + years’ experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with a high level of autonomy
  • Experience supporting operational or blue-collar workforces (construction, manufacturing or similar)
  • Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and awards, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a practical way
  • Confident working directly with managers on day-to-day workforce matters
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands
  • Proficient in HR systems (Employment Hero advantageous) and MS Office
  • Practical, hands-on, and solutions-focused
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
